As we approach the 71st anniversary of D-Day, I thought it would be appropriate to throw the spotlight on a board game from Lost Battalions Games Sergeants D-Day Boardgame.
In this board game which is card driven you can command platoons and still have the skirmish play style. What makes this game unique is that the soldiers in the game are all different and individualized with their own stats and abilities.
The playing pieces are not the traditional plastic or metal miniatures, this time they are a sturdy mdf material. There are also expansion packs to give different soldier types and weapons and further battle packs to add on different battles through out the whole D-Day Campaign.
It is amazing the different types of gaming available for this time period.Lost Battalions Games describes Sergeants D-Day Boardgame as:
“Sergeants D-Day puts you in the action commanding a squad of soldiers, adapting to the changing situation. Your men are a collection of strangers; as you learn their names, you also learn how they perform in combat. No game plays the same, no squad is the same, and the story you write is the only one that matters.”
How will you remember D-Day?
