I cannot believe that we’re nearing the end of 2017, but that only means we are that much closer to Adepticon 2018- and what a show it’s shaping up to be!
We were fortunate enough to be in attendance at the Adepticon planning meeting this weekend, where we got to see Star Wars Legion being demoed by Matt Holland from Fantasy Flight Games.
I am soooooo excited about this game! After seeing the game at Gen Con, it was great to see it again and taken into more detail.
We were learning to play with essentially two starter boxes of miniatures, which gets you to 800 points, and the size of a typical game. We were able to see the specific command cards in play, as well as some weapons upgrades and see how gameplay worked with objectives involved.
The scenario we played involved securing towers on the table in a hostile environment, which meant that the suppression rules operated a bit differently and it was far more challenging to get rid of suppression once you had it.
If you love Star Wars (and who doesn’t? And if you don’t, I’m not sure we can be friends anymore), you are going to love this game. It literally takes all the things we love about Star Wars and brings it to life on the table for us to play. Is it the first quarter of 2018 yet?!
Back to Adepticon. At the show this year, gamers can have the opportunity to interact with Star Wars Legion in a few different ways. There are two seminars on Painting the Starter Set, as well as a couple ways to play the game in the Boxset Skirmish individually or the Combined Assault as teams.
Will you be playing the Empire or the Rebels in Legion?
