Dark Souls The Board Game by Steamforged Games smashed through Kickstarter's board game funding earlier this year with the top-funded board game of all time at over £3.7 million raised.
If you missed your chance during the funding period, Steamforged are allowing late pledges up until this friday 2nd September.

True to the nature of the Dark Souls video game, the board game is extremely challenging, unfortunately you will die, there's no doubt about it. However death is not the end, it's an opportunity to gain more information about the bosses along the way forging you to craft your own tactics and strategies with your allies to finally defeat it!
On September 2nd Steamforged Games will close its virtual doors for late pledges forever, this is your last change to recieve the core game and the first six expansions at only £80. Get in fast while you can!

not a video gamer, so I’ve never played the series. However the imagery of this game + Steamforged’s past success with GB (the best game I’ve played ever) has me really excited for this release
Playing the game teaches you a lot about self control. You die a lot.
You’ll die after you touch the game for the first time, die when you remove the shrink wrap, die when you open it, you’ll die so many times before even getting the game to the table that it won’t be amusing anymore haha!!
they have some nice/iteresting monsters.
