Gautier Giroud is a fantastic sculptor who has worked on projects like the Conan board game by Monolith. He is also designing a range of Steampunk miniatures for another game and these are some of the fruits of his labours. See what you think of the Steamborg and Steamsuit in 35mm…
I think you’ll agree that immediately you’re getting a Bioshock vibe from that Steamsuit! Thanks to some rather awesome photography from Giroud we also have some more angles of these models showing them off very nicely indeed.
First up we take a closer look at the Steamborg which is an awesome idea just on its own. I love the idea of someone cobbling together this creature of both organic and mechanical parts, all powered by generators and whirring cogs.
Maybe this particular character was injured in some way and used their ingenuity to come up with steam-driven arms and other appendages to allow them to get their revenge! I can’t get over all the little details on the gun arm and the backpack.
Following on from that little stunner we have the hulking Steamsuit that would be very much at home in the depths of Rapture or the skies of Columbia.
Once again a marvel to look at once you start taking in all of the details across the big mechanical arms and the back of the suit. I love that they have the little porthole for the wearer to look out of but I would fill that in with a bit of glass to make him look all the more intimidating.
There’s no word as to which Steampunk game these are for but we do know that it will be a set of six so there’s more to come.
Which of the two do you prefer?
