We previously previewed this new mini but now the team at Stoessi's Heroes have officially added it to their 28mm historic miniatures range which commemorates notable characters from military history.

Their latest release is of LtCol. Robert Cole who is credited with the tactical decisions that led to the taking of Carentan in WWII.

Stoessi's Heroes LtCol. Robert Cole Front

"On June 11, 1944 LtCol. Robert Cole with the 101st Airborne Division, had the objective to take Carentan. The young commander called in a smoke barrage right in front of the German positions and ordered his men to fix bayonets and charge."

"Many Americans were killed as they assaulted, but more than 100 of Cole’s men managed to reach the German lines causing the defenders to flee. The attack would go down in history as “Cole’s Charge”. He won the Medal of Honor, but got killed in combat before the citation could be presented."

The miniature's pose, leading the way on the charge is fantastic and is aided by an incredibly animated expression of almost grimaced determination.

The model comes in two parts and is made of white metal for 28mm scale games.
