AngryJoe Talks Street Fighter: The Miniatures Game

Legendary game reviewer turned designer AngryJoe chats with us about his upcoming miniature adaptation of classic arcade game Street Fighter!
Many will know AngryJoe for his YouTube channel The Angry Joe Show where he has been reviewing games, sometimes angrily, for 10 years.
Through the power of Kickstarter he has taken the much loved Street Fighter franchise to the tabletop with a miniature adaptation that will hopefully capture the feel of the series.
So far the campaign has already doubled their $400,000 goal and broken through several stretch goals which have added extra characters such as Blanka and alternative modes allowing for up to 6 players.
The miniatures included will be pre-built and pre-painted giving the more time-constrained of us the ability to get stuck straight into the game, and at 65-85mm tall these are some big miniatures!

sounds great, but will there be a destroy a car bonus level?
Don’t be constrained by the designer, game in the gaps. If you want to destroy a car and the game doesn’t let you, then just go outside and destroy a car…
well we do that anyway in July, it’s what the month is for. But you shouldn’t limit yourself to cars buses and 40′ lorries are also very flammable
Super excited about this tabletop game and the future IP’s
exactly this.
Can’t wait to have all of the fighter games represented within this series.
And (IMHO) that should include Super Smash Brothers as well.
So … Mario&Luigie vs Bison or Ken&Ryu vs Bowser.

I knew I wasn’t the only one to pronounce it Tri-anids my logic being that they had 3 pairs of limbs hence Tri, But I digress.
Ah, The Street Fighter Movie, So Bad, It’s Good, and the late Raul Julias Ham & Cheese laden swan song, OF CORSE!
Blanka, Chun-LI & Dhalsim Where my favourites, apparently the skulls Dhalsim wheres are those of children who died in a famine, he considers them a tragic reminder of a past failure.
Other Franchises? MORTAL KOMBAT! Killer Instinct and SoulCalibur, Please 😀

I have a real soft spot for Dan and the way he always gets abused by the other characters in the game! But what I really want to see is a $40 pack with 4 Darkstalker characters! Come on Capcom, you know you don’t want that IP to die!

Those are some of the fights I’d love to see.
T Hawk vs Nightwolf would be a cool fight! Joe and Jasco games have done a brilliant job on this. I have really enjoyed following this as it’s my first Kickstarter
