Ryan Devoto has added a whole new level to his amazing Fantasy tabletop, literally. The Nerdist showed off the latest addition to his collection which is an amazing Dungeonscape made using Dwarven Forge pieces and more besides.
Now doesn’t that just look like THE BEST Dungeon ever to go and explore? I like that there is a sense of depth to it and the dungeon has plenty of levels built into its design. Take a closer look at it here too…
There’s some classic pieces in here that tie it into the heritage of Dungeons & Dragons, namely the big statue of the demon holding the bowl of flame against his chest. No doubt a cunning Halfling is looking to steal the gems from its eyes.
Now, while this is the most impressive part of the tabletop there is plenty more to it too. There is a dock, a port and all manner of buildings for your heroes to wander around.
I like the idea that you could probably play a whole campaign out using this tabletop. Your heroes arrive on these magnificent boats on the orders of a Wizard who lives in this tower…
You accept your quest and then make your way towards town as you deal with a Troll along the way who has made his home underneath a bridge on the river.
Meeting in town you then get warned by the locals that the Wizard who you presumed was a good fellow is actually lording over their town from on high! Racing back to the tower you find he has vanished and entered the dungeon into which you now must delve.
If you’re interested to see another configuration of this tabletop we covered it a while back when we looked at the Tabletop World terrain used to create this magnificent town. You can read the article HERE.
