Over the years, there have been many children have mysteriously disappeared without a trace into Duskworld.

Ethan was the most recent to disappear and now it's up to the children of Elm Street to save what's left of him. All they have is a page from his diary and a compass that vibrates with unusual energy.

I'll admit, Alter Ego Games had me on theme alone for this game, but once I saw the board mechanic in this game, I needed to take a closer look. In this game, two to four players will try to save Ethan, collecting memories and using the mysterious compass to direct them.

The Faceless is a cooperative game, so players have to work together to most effectively use the compass and steer clear of the vile Billygoat, who controls the souls taken into the Duskworld.

The key mechanic in this game is the use of magnets to influence the direction of the compass needle. Players will use the cards in their hands to either move one of the faceless figures, move the Billygoat or simply move without the influence of the compass direction.

I think the compass and use of magnets add some fantastic eerie energy to the game and the miniatures are wonderfully creepy! The Faceless is already funded and blasting through stretch goals.

Will you be joining the quest to save Ethan?
