Fantasy Flight Games are taking you on a new adventure for The Lord Of The Rings: The Living Card Game. Firstly, in the Ered Mithrin Cycle, we have The Withered Heath which has you fighting against a deadly beast!

As with the other Adventure Packs in the collection, this set gives you a new Hero to play with but also a deadly adventure to undertake. While this might be the well-known world of Middle-earth, the team at FFG pull no punches and this is no doubt going to be a challenging encounter.

The new set comes with some awesome cards which help your Beorning Hero, Grimbeorn The Old! There's also that deadly Snow-Troll that you can see there previewed above who is going to be hard to pin down. Talking of Grimbeorn, here is the character card for him.

He is a solid Tactics hero with a good amount of attack, defence and health. His Threat is only eleven as well which opens him up to be used other tough characters. He can be used as a good defender and when readied with Beorn's Rage above, if you can find a way to ready him (like his card ability) he can attack back too.

You will also find some new allies to help you like the Guardian Of Esgaroth who takes some of the items you'd normally gift to your Heroes and instead becomes more powerful if you arm him instead.

This could make for some powerful combinations and with just one item added to the character you can see how his statistics increase. Working alongside the other characters from Dale you open up the possibilities for a new kind of combo deck.

Beware, however, as the adventure you'll be undertaking is a dangerous one and the weather is foul indeed. Some of the Treachery cards you'll be coming up against are not kind!
