Modiphius have added another surprise unlock to their Thunderbirds Kickstarter campaign where you can turn your game components from the main board game into a role-playing experience where you actually get to jump into the boots of International Rescue...

Thunderbirds Cover

...you heard me right. With the additional rules and such you can take the components of the board game above and get two games in one effectively.

Thunderbirds Role-Playing

"Game through much more involved missions of International Rescue that encourage ingenuity and improvisation where the Game Master rewards clever solutions while introducing a balanced array of obstacles, dangers and villains. Play as the characters from classic Thunderbirds series in a game suited to experienced and novice role-players alike."

Not only will this give you the chance to role-play as the characters from Thunderbirds but with further stretch goals they hope to unlock more miniatures and add additional components for campaigns and such so you might even see some full on Tracy family miniatures coming your way and more.

Play The Hood

As well as the role-playing game they also unlocked the five player Hood Expansion where you can play as the villain against your friends. There is a role like this in another of Leacock's games, Pandemic, where you play as a bio-terrorist so it's a mechanic and role he's familiar with in his games.

Prototype Printed Components

The team have also shown off some of the components that will be in the game in their more final form, although the colour is still to be added. The detail is great for cool retro-style gaming pieces and I can see your boards coming to life when you start to add everything to it.

What do you think of the Thunderbirds Kickstarter?
