Artwork for some of the early covers has already been shown off by the Mythic Games team, featuring the heroic lady battling against all manner of different foes.
“An all-female team is leading the artistic direction of the series. Member of the team Mel Joy San Juan, who is well known for her work on Sherrilyn Kenyon’s Acheron comic series said, “I’ve studied Joan of Arc since my school years, and she was inspirational. I’m honoured to bring this project to life”.”
This is certainly an awesome way to tell more stories about the game and build the narrative for Mythic Games’ world. A book obviously offers up a great look into the universe but I think that comics and graphic novels continue to build on the visualisation of the world and help when it comes to painting and hobby too.
It will be interesting to see what stories they look to tell from the Time Of Legends: Joan Of Arc game, maybe based on scenarios and such that you’re playing, both Historical and Fantastical.
If this goes down well then there’s also the potential for Mythic Games to use this alongside some of their other Time Of Legends projects. After all, Joan Of Arc seems to just be the tip of the iceberg for this particular game series.
