Check Out The WH 40k Tyranids Return 04/01/2014

As most of you who love Warhammer 40,000 might know by now, the Tyranids are on their way back to the tabletop and we've seen a few snippets of their arrival on the internet already. Well, the teaser trailer above made things more 'official'.
The sneak peek images that have appeared on the internet show bile spewing flyers and plenty of interesting looking gribbly monsters but will this be an army worth playing in the current edition? We won't have long to wait.
Interestingly the Tyranids have always been an army I've considered playing but I think a mixture of rules and not knowing the best way to paint them as coloured by choice when it comes to following through. Maybe this time it will be different?

I’m really looking forward to this release, especially to the numerous supplements and dataslates that will follow!
/ On a serious note, looking forward to seeing if the ‘nids will have a brand new “massive model” release such as the Riptide.
Don’t think they’ll get another huge model as they already have some enormous beasts in the older codex… Some of the monstrous creatures are already as huge as the big models that got out this year…
I think they can do a step larger, Wraithknight style :p

That was the most worthless teaser ever. “Be prepared. For stuff. Coming soon.” Oh gods! A planet! It’s so small and inoffensive!
haha I was thinking the same thing. GW need to release some cinematic teasers, now that would be exciting!
Like the stuff for their video games. The animated shorts for Dawn of War and especially Mark of Chaos I thought were superb and really sucked you into the universe.
I could literally have made this trailer in 3 minutes.
I quite like the trailer. The homage to the Alien franchise in the way the text appeared made me smile. The background sound was all atmospheric. And I liked the way the huge tyranid face appeared behind the small, insignificant, vulnerable planet (great devourer anyone?).
The Great Devourer is cancelled (she joined Fit Club). Nothing to see here 🙂

That was a trailer? Yes I agree GW our cash is not safe and you seek to devour our wallets and to make us bankrupt whilst vending pitifully little for a lot of money. Keep it.

Hmmm may be an excuse to dig out my old Armorcast ‘Nids …..
GW couldn’t make a teaser trailer with more content. If they did they would run the risk of leaking spoilers before the pre-orders went up. If that happened then GW would have to issue GW with a cease & desist!
The Harpy model is kinda crappy looks like a flying Carnifex. Im just going to use Trygons with wings and guns. However we do get the Hauspex/Malefactor and Exocrine back on the Table top with Hive guard with actual options . Tyranid Warriors will get the full weapon options for the models (whips and swords) and the Carnifexs get a re-boxing with 2 inside ( for $95 bucks)
How a race fully focused on evolution and assimilation still use close combat weapons is beyond me.
Your right hatamoto, they should have evolved better mouths and brains so they can come to a diplomatic solution.
