Darrell’s gone cheese hunting again this time its sneaky way to consolidate out of combat to annoy your opponent.
Thanks Darrell – very useful.
A fantasy battle vid on the tactical uses of combat reform would be great too!
Haha, really funny video. I can already see the shell shattering back on top of the vindicator in games.
Also Darrel, for some of your “can I do this” cheese videos, can grey knight terminators get into a chimera? Doesn’t say they can’t in the codex…
Just had a quick look and there’s nothing that says they can’t. After all, Ogryns can get into them in the Guard ‘dex. I would imagine it will get an FAQ at some point to say they can’t though.
@crovax20 chimeras are dedicated transports so only the squad that brought them can get and out of them and the only squad who can use them are henchmen warbands who get access to any of DC’s in this codex.
as for my consolidation tactic in one game i had 2 assaults going on both of them a 10 man assault squad VS some enemy marine thing next to their board edge. squad 1 killed enemy squad 1 to just 3 guys. they failed their morale test and fled. squad 2 killed enemy squad 2 outright then consolidated towards the recently fled unit. next turn the recently fled unit doesn’t get to rally because of how close i am and they run off the board.
the squad that has the dedicated transport (and any character that has joined the unit) is the only unit that can use them at the start of the game, once they get out any troop that is allowed to be moved in transports can use that transport.
This is awesome, I love the way your devious mind works Darrell, next time I face my mates I am going to use this lovely tactic. Keep up the good work BOW and Darrell, more vids, more cheese, and more lolz please
I never understood the sometime boomerang effect of blast weapons myself, nor realised that wind affected Plasma blasts. This is a sensible, not overtly cheesy, tactic should the situation arise. Thanks Darrell!
couldn’t you try and wrap the sides around. So either he hits you and himself or nobody?
you can if you have the movement to do it but i never let it happen to me, the dark gods keep my vehicles running
Sort of off topic but what would you do if there was a land raider and there’s some really strong guys like Logan Grimnar and some termis and you have guys who are only good at shooting. How could you take it down without getting to many loses yourself?
