Corvus Corax & The Dark Fury Strike From Forge World

January 8, 2016 by brennon

Forge World have now added for pre-order both Corvus Corax and the Raven Guard Dark Fury Assault Squad which will no doubt be following him into battle from the skies. Will you be picking up this new Primarch and his warriors?

Corvus Corax

First up we have the Primach himself who is pictured here descending from the skies to take out one of his battle brothers who has turned against him. I love the way they've developed his wings to give them a strange, and almost Eldar, feeling to them.

Corvus #1

"Like most of the Primarchs, Corax is blessed of an extensive armoury of artificer-wrought weapons but those he most often bears to war are a pair of metre-long lightning claws and a coiled whip at his belt.

Though few even amongst his sons know of it, Corax is blessed with the ability to pass unnoticed should he will it, this preternatural ability allowing him to slip from the perception of his enemies even when standing in plain view."

Corvus #2

This is one of the most striking additions to the Horus Heresy Character Series that I think they've done as a company and it will most likely be a very challenging project for a hobbyist too. You have quite the challenge to make black not just look matte!

Dark Fury Assault Squad

Supporting their leader in their conquest of the galaxy and all traitors who stand before them we have a special Assault Squad. See what you think of them below...

RAVEN GUARD DARK FURY ASSAULT SQUAD

"The Dark Fury Assault squads are the executioners of the Raven Guard, conducting focused decapitation strikes on enemy leaders whilst the carnage of battle rages around them.

Far from subtle assassins striking unseen from the shadows, Dark Fury squads descend from great heights upon the silenced retro thrusters of their jump packs, into the very midst of their foe."

They feature a similar winged style to their leader and cruel hooked lighting claws which look all the more terrifying. The whole visage of them in their finely sculpted armour makes me think of angels (which is fitting) and gargoyles too.

Have you been hooked by this release?
