Fought and killed Lelith at the weekend, what’s important to remember is that she’s still and Eldar, so strength and toughness 3. Just focus your fire on her and her unit and she won’t get to you.

I think I’ll be going for 2 DE armys. Possibly 3 over time, but mainly a normal kabal with an archon (or Asdrubel Vect for larger games), and a haemonculus themed army with wracks and things, led by urien! If I was going for a 3rd it would be wyches and beasts and various things.
Also, forgot to mention. I’ve had nothing but trouble trying to get webways to work in the past. If you can afford to buy the transports, theyre always a better choice!
Web Way portals Are another way for u to get units that would get shot at quickly into the fray. If u has wyches for eg in portal get a archon with web way portal inside a Raider. Move flat out and use Airsails. then nect turn jump out a bit from opponent and deploy it. and with the archon and his unit protect the portal until wyches run out. fleet and assualt.
I can not believe your negativity in all of your videos. I have won concistantly with my old school Dark Eldar. And with the new codex I see a lot of new choices in the army . My biggest problem will be in the choice of what do I take. The Dark Eldar will be a factor in the game scene now. They will shut down armour if set up right, then after that its all poison baby. I don’t know why but I when run Chaos Daemons I can never get them to come in, but when I run the dark eldar most of my reserves come in, in one turn and lay wast to anything anywhere near my webway portal. WIsh the daemons worked as good as my Dark Eldar but then my rolls usually suck.
Archon with huskblade and lahmian in retinue seems pretty good to me. Instakilling PW wounding on 2+ is just nice.
Guys, you missed the war gear for the haemonculi. There are some very nasty peices of kit available. It’s a tough call as to which hq/s to go for. Do you go for one that is a monster in close combat? or maybe one of the ones that can change the way the army plays? I think it does make sense to have heamonculus to get wracks as troops. but someone like lileth or even a std archon with incubi in a well decked out raider (lileth may be too much killy!!!). if you play a big game, put some trueborn with vect in his raider. Armour 13 all round, you get it behind as much cover as you can, don’t move it. you have then got 5 dark lances and 4 blasters (18″ range dark lance). the 3 lances on the raider and 4 blasters can be used on the move too. hell of a gun ship. If you’re gonna spend the points on vect, you may as well SPEND the points on vect!!!
I dont think they are being negitive by pointing out the downfalls of the army. Its the dynamic of the game. Marines are high points most of the time, and outnumbered. Not the best guns but middle of the road.Guard suck in close combat, same as tau, but have guns to back them up. I play most of the armys and you have to know the ups and downs. ok random question- if a model with a shadow field takes a wound from a weapon that ignores invuln saves is the sadow field destroyed?
Do you with the Court of the Archon need at least one of every type, or do you need to choose a particular race and from that have at least one creature?
You can buy as many of individual creature as you like (up to the limit) and they form the Archon’s Court, a special unit that only an Archon can lead.
Each creature of the court comes with set kit and special rules… so you can’t give them more stuff.
I think the webportal is a brilliant and cheap additional way for the reserves.
1. you do not have to declare entering though it, so you can chose to or not.
2. It can be used by as many units as you like. Scorpions have to pay 25 per unit to have flank/infiltrate so 35 for any number of units is very cheap.
3. if the enemy is trying to look it by surrounding, it is just another unit that can not do anything else for a long time.
So all in all, I do not agree with them on the portal
I’m surprised BoW didn’t do that many vids on the dark eldar, I was hoping for something like blood angels or nids week…hopefully won’t do the same when necrons eventually come out 😛
The HQ stats are impressive, with some disappointments, but looks good all around. I love the whole “sex in a box/codex” the new Dark Eldar have, but I’m disappointed on the Lelith and Urien models.
The new wyches, mostly the female ones, are too muscular making them appear more of a barabrian than an “elf”.
You can be both depraved and sexy looking, so I’m hoping there’s new haemonculus models and they’re better looking than Urien.
Web way portals are great for setting traps. Having my oppenet’s army worry to much about covering it while my raiders and jet bikes wail on his troops made Dark Elder even bigger arseholes then they already are.
