Warhammer 40,000 Franchise Weekend Deals On Steam!

Steam are going to be running a weekend deal on all things Warhammer 40,000 probably in a rather obvious celebration of the new edition launching. You'll be able to pick up games of Dawn of War, Space Marine and Kill Team...
The Kill Team game is a top-down style arcade 'twin stick' shooter that sees you smashing your way through hordes of Orks and Tyranids with some Blood Angle heroes. It's actually very fun for the price and I had a lot of fun with it on Xbox 360.
As well as that you have the unbeatable real time strategy series Dawn of War and their deal stretches from the older games right up to the new ones. Annoyingly of course we won't see anymore of this franchise since the publisher went under but the games still stand up as epic adventures.
Finally we have the amazing Space Marine game where you play as Captain Titus taking on Orks and Chaos Space Marines in an effort to save a forge world from being invaded. It's very, very cool and if you can pick it up, get it!

Kill team really needed online multiplayer as well as couch co-op, dawn of war is a competent if maybe a bit repetetive RTS, and space marine’s flaws stood out to me enough to ruin the game’s few good points in single player, but the mulitplayer modes are okay for a few hours.
For a moment there I thought GW was having a sale on miniatures and rulebooks… I should have known better !

The Space Marine game is a good little play through, a nice little story, Kill Team is quite good fun also.
I love Kill Team! You can actually be a number of different chapters and classes, and while it does get a little repetitive I found it fun. On the 360 you did have couch co-op and IIRC online co-op as well.
Dawn of War was great too. I never played Space marine outside of a demo, but this might be my chance to try it.
