Since THQ went bankrupt the Warhammer 40k video game licence has been bouncing around, with many thinking Sega had picked it up. Well now video game company Slitherine have announced that they have signed a deal to make a strategy game in the 40k universe.

Slitherine Games Workshop

"The Warhammer 40,000 setting is a perfect fit for the style of strategy games that we make and will be very popular with fantasy and science fiction fans alike. Joining forces with Games Workshop will allow us to bring an wonderfully deep and appropriate IP to the Turn Based Strategy genre.” - JD McNeil, Chairman of the Slitherine Group

This is a very exciting announcement. I love the various 40k strategy video games that are out there and I will be really interested to see if Slitherine do the universe justice.

Who else is excited about this announcement? Do you like any of Slitherine's existing games?
