Wind them up and let them go… this is what happens when Goblins go on the shrooms!
Who has big balls and loves chains… why it’s Darrell!
1.35 Oh Darrell…..
it gives me hope seeing the oldest member (punt no.231 from the Darrell Big Book of Broadcasting) of BoW – doing the most juvenile jokes…
The problem with fanatics is that they can be more painfull to you then they are to your opponent. If you have more units with fanatics and he is able to draw them early on with cheap, fast throwaway units, than you can either send them back (i havent seen the new book yet but at least with the last AB you were able to choose direction), or have them interfere with your own advance, as you dont want to go through them with your own units. If you are not playing a shooty army, this can be a pain.
One of my regular opponents stopped palying them after few games in which i did this with my harpies and they slaughtered half of his army.
Thet have their uses but they are not going to win you games.
I deisegree. I’ve been using them since early 5th ed. and it’s quite rare that they actually cost you more than the enemy. Just plan your setup carefully and remember the Size Matters rule, you should be able to cause some major damage with theese guys. I’m not saying that it’s fool-proof, but it works most of the time. And I’ve seen them win games, throwing hefty doses of panic throughout the enemy army.
I agree with Stortotta, i used to use em back in the days when playing orc’s and goblins with good effect, as the nightgoblins are cheap shuld the fanatics go in the wrong direction…
