The guys move on to one of the last sections we’ll be covering in this army book break down, the Rare Choices. What will they think of the Slaughterbrute, Dragon Ogres and Shaggoths?
Warren the Hellcannon handlers are Chaos dwarfs !!! not reg dwarfs….
Would it be possible for Swampy and Mike to write up some sample lists for us? It would be really useful and awesome if we could have some model lists to use or adapt for our own tastes.
Another good video, swampy and mikes immunity to being sucked into Warren’s dwarf fetish was amusing.
Largely I agree, personally I don’t thing the new monster are particularly good – The vortex beast is the better of the two. The models really don’t help.
I think spawn are great for flanks – the random charge and not having to see a target to charge as mentioned make them great for countering light flyers and fast cav units. Especially if tzeetch marked as if you don’t hit the unit in combat you have the chance to flame them. They can also effectively pin smaller/weaker block units for a turn or more which can help find space to punch holes etc without worrying about next turn flank charges.
Skull crushers I would use on flanks or on a flank in 3 plus character or 4 strong. That way all will contact with a 5 wide unit and they can still take most non-horde units or destory units pinned by infantry. Not a fan of ranked as monsterous cav don’t get monsterous ranks if I recall correctly.
Hellcannons are great, and present great flank defenders as mentioned. Also help weaken those large units that can be a pain to an army that will mostly be outnumber and therefore again steadfast units (stubborn due to more ranks for begineers)
Giants are a fun option, and a good fire magnet. Only issue I have with a chaos army is 200 points in a high point army is considerably harder to find than it is a Orc and goblin army for instance and a cany player will recognise it is a lesser threat then a lot of other units.
I love to take a dragon ogre shaggoth with a great weapon as something to hunt down my opponent’s monsters. Very few monsters can stand up to a pissed off shaggoth
The guy with the green shirt is unbearable to cut all the time speaking of his colleague!
What do you mean?
It does seem to be a trend in these videos that every time Mike tries to say something Swampy either cuts him off or just talks over him, I’m sure its not anything malicious but it is incredibly annoying as it makes hearing what either of them have to say near impossible. Swampy is clearly very excited about being able to tell folks about this army but talking over someone is pretty rude even if it wasn’t intentional. Things would be easier to follow if he just took his time and let others have their say.
thanks for the constructive critisism I will take this on board for future Vids (really I will try)
Nice one, Swampy!
It might also have something to do with your set-up around the table. As Swampy will most likely talk to Warren, he has his back to Mike. That makes it easier to ‘ignore’ him, talk over him, etc. I know the standard set-up you guys have is that Warren is to the right (for the viewers), but it may help to have him sit in the middle. That also visually rienforces that you are doing what is essentially a round table discussion. I know that such a set-up could also be taken to mean that Swampy and Mike are opponents in a debate, but it will become almost instantly clear during the video that they are not.
In any case, keep up the good work, rly loving these vids!
Exactly normtheunsavoury, and that’s it for each video -_-’
I love it how Warren keeps on saying ‘the Hellcannon sucks off its crew’, hoping for a reaction from the boys, not getting one and then slyly smiling. Brings back memories of Blood Angels Week…
