Andy & Darrell chat about how a new player would go about expanding their Cygnar force using the Battlebox as a starting point.
I’ve never seen @beerogre so impressed by 5 inches
Well, you know, you’ve got to look at the girth as well… Girth is everything.
I know it’s easy to get jaded with the cost of gaming these days, but it’s really great to see Andy and Darrell (not sure how to spell the fellow’s name properly) so enthusiastic about the game.
For me, Andy got me into Warmachine: much obliged folk people!
@bubbles15 … We have plans to do more videos in this style, simply talking about the way’s to advance your forces, what stuff is good and what to avoid.
I hope you like them.
Black 13 Rules
I’m excited to see Darrell talking tactics about anything outside of the usual 40k and fantasy tips. The cheese needs to be supplied in many flavors. For expanding the cygnar battlebox to 15 points you do have limited options. There is no shortage of 2 point solos and just a few 4 point units, but you need to pick ones that will bring you value against beasts, jacks, and solos more than units. The only other in-faction choices I can think of would be 2 stormsmiths and cpt. Strangewayes vs. warmachine only. There are many, many mercenary solos cygnar can use, and many of them bring something unique to the table. Gorman di Wulf and Harlan Versh would make a good 4 point filler in 15 point games.
excellent vid/s Thinking of a shooty list with black 13 cheese sauce once i get into Cygnar. At moment im more into burning the heretics in blue with the rightous fire of Menoth
That was awesome.
Hmm can Magnus the traitor have Trenchers ? i though he would just work for Cryx, Khador and The protectorate.
His theme list allows them, though they count as mercenaries since they are deserters and Vinter loyalists when they work with Magnus. It is important to remember he can only take trencher infantry though, not the artillery or commandos.
I would really like to see more of this type of discussion. Thanks
Kraye can get a heavy jack to charge at 15in
Very cool video, just a few things I noticed. The Ironclad’s Tremor special attack affects all models within 2″, friend or foe, nothing to do with the front arc. And second, the Lancer’s Shock Shield’s Cortex Damage rule says when a warjack is HIT by the shield, you don’t need to damage it to cause the cortex damage, it even has a Tactical Tip on the page saying to mark the cortex damage before making the damage roll.
I really enjoy your videos and all the advise, keep them coming!!!
charger is 4 points lancer is 6 points you got hem the wrong way round
