Armed with fiery grenades and a religious fervour, that borders on the self-destructive. Andy gives us a rundown of the abilities of the Holy Zealots and their unit attachment the impressive Monolith Bearer.
Oooh, suicide bombers ! Typical Menoth. The sculpts are only “meh” in my opinion (the heads, notably), with the exception of the gorgeous monolith bearer, but each and every one of those Menoth guys always have loads of heavy cloth and robes in multiple layers flowing in absurd directions all over the place… Fun to paint ! From what I hear, they’re also fun to play.
The sculpts are a bit dated now. If you have a look on Privateer’s site, you’ll see they are releasing a new set of sculpts for the Cygnar Trenchers. Logically, they would have been the logical unit to review after the Long Gunners, but I’m going to wait until the new ones are released to do a better review.
However, this bodes well for new sculpts for some of the “dodgy” early units, like the Khador Winter Guard and these Holy Zealots.
Indeed it does ! Will you be doing an unboxing video on the new plastic “upgrade” kit for those unique warjacks, newly released by Privateer Press ? I am eager to find out what exactly is in those boxes. You see, if it’s just three bits and pieces each time and the end result isn’t very different from the plastic warjack, as the pictures in No Quarter and other sources seem to imply, I’m not sure it’s worth buying… Unless of course you do play said faction, and the unique jack is immensely useful. At any rate, it would be good to know.
I certainly will… and with a following wind the good people at PP will be getting me the bits to review a day or two early, so we can get the video up the minute the packs are released for sale… like with the Cassius & Wurmwood video.
As for the Warjacks themselves… using my BoW brand Crystal Ball (as I haven’t seen any cards you understand )… I can foresee Menoth and Cryx players being very pleased!
O Joy !
My zealots have not killed another model, but have won me 4 games from 8. Cant be bad
Some of the guys at the hobby shop love them so much they never do a game without them. They always tell me stories of how they win with them. Im not looking forward to facing the zealots
I have almost finished my full unit….. Menoth shall have to see action soon but Im to busy loving my trolls at mo.
Looking forward to giving them a run out on the table
It’s fun when their fire bombs set the Kador Wae engine on fire. Nothing like a flaming stacge coach to det an atmosphere.
