Darrell gets out the cool new Corporation Troopers from Mantic Games.
Those are very nice looking.
Not personally usually a fan of the aesthetics of mantics stuff, but I think they did a good on these guys – good proportions, realistic and nice style.
Really nice, a little clumsy at the shoulder join depending on how you position the arms – it isnt Darrell’s fault the mantic painted ones are the same- but overall decent, and great value for money too.
i’ve painted a squad of these. really good models. some of the arms seem a little too long on the ranger variant, but overall good models.
here’s the ones i painted. http://www.beastsofwar.com/groups/warpath/forum/topic/corporation-marines/
I went and bought 103 of the little guys for my new Guard army and it was a sound investment. They work out at about £1 per mini if you buy in bulk. There much more realistically proportioned when compared to GW kits. The only issue I have is there are no spare arms, so if you want to attach a special weapon you have to chop up a perfectly good “laser gun” arm and glue another weapon in its place. Remember that Mantic also do the heavy weapon teams and the rather cool commander type character.
Overall I like them, and look forward to painting them up
Mantic’s best Warpath army to date and gives the Undead range a good run. The detail is nice, the figures solid and the style makes them of much greater value than the price. I do hope this starts Mantic down the path of good quality, even if it’s a tad more costly than before. The Corporation can really compare or even surpass some of the high quality, high priced rank-and-file spacemen models out there. Well done, Mantic!
These guys turned out quite all right… Look at this article from the sculptor’s blog :
What’s the big weapon for the Corp?
I just got asked to play in a Necromunda game, so i might pick a box up, or wait for Verr-myn.
they have burst lasers and a las cannon eq.
