Andy and Ronnie discuss his upcoming plans for Warpath 2nd Edition.
Sounds like some interesting plans and nice to see Ronnie sporting a GCN badge.
I really, really like the ’1 player box’ idea , look forward to that appearing at some point.
I’ve only bought a couple of warpath minis so far, the forgefather and ork leaders, and have been impressed by both, so I just want more of the same please.
As I said in another thread, whats impressed me most is that the quality improves with every new army, we all know its hard for the smaller guys to compete with the big players, so to see a company visibly improving the products as they go , for me at least, means the hobby has a bright future that isnt just dominated by a single version of what we enjoy.
As an aside, you can never have enough tanks in a wargame.
What I want to see? a decent non-humanoid alien race that arent “Starship trooper bugs/Giger Aliens” would be nice. Bio-mechanical space jellyfish or lovecraftian abominations (and not the cthulhu kind) would be nice.
Theres definitly been an improvement in the sculpts with the Corporation models. Curious to see this “plague army” – if they are zombies or resident evil esque stuff I’d probably pass – but if they are more along the lines of Carpenters the thing/Dead space count me in.
Regardless of all that – I sincerely wish Ronnie the best of luck. Running a miniature company is no easy task, and he seems to be doing a very good job so far.
I would be very, very suprised if the basic infantry for the Plague aren’t Mantic Zombies, but I’d kill for some not-Necromorphs/The Thing. maybe something to consider as a re-tool, or an upgrade kit in the future? (or maybe I’ll have to hack apart some Zo’or and Zombies to glue together)
Thats very intresting news indeed.
Can we have Hel Valkyrs to go with the Scrappers please? Come on, Stunty biker gangs would be hilarious…
I’m glad Warpath is growing well and getting a second edition. I felt the journey through beta was unkind to it and left the final rules rougher than they needed to be. I honestly do want to see this game succeed and become something big but I wouldn’t play it myself yet with those first edition rules. Bring on the progress!
nice nice Is there actually a possibility to meet Alessio in person? Does he visit a convention or something?
@midas – I’m not sure where you’re located but here’s something you may find useful:
The coming sci-fi vichles will be the final selling point for me if I’m going to jump on warpath, had a look at all 4 races and all of them look great to me, whichever one gets an Awesome Vehicle is the one im going for, probably forge fathers
Hope to see Mantic grow up! The one player box idea is good, but it is very difficult to do it, i think.
I would like to get the armylists for other races because I don’t really feel for any of the races that are out now :/
