Blood Red Skies Unboxing: Allies

Moving on from the Axis powers from last week, we unbox two of the Ally sets in Blood Red Skies from Warlord Games.
We look at the Supermarine Spitfire MK.II and the P-51D Mustang from the British and American forces which include their ace pilots: Sailor Malan and George Preddy.
Inside you can also get a look at a 'Redtail' paint job on one of the Mustang planes and an insight into how many pilots it takes to change a lightbulb in the gun sight.

I like all of the stuff introduced and unboxed today, but as it is, according to what has been said, possible to download free rules from Warlord, I´ll do that and go for the Pacific stuff. After a surpsisingly short time of research I even found the model kit of the Hornet that was included in the marvellous BRS board on Salute. Also I made out some 1:200 scale battleships for many countries/armies/navies. They all cost a little fortune, but they´re worth it, I believe. I took a look at the 1/200 scale ships and gave them a wide birth, I will do the perspective thing and use smaller scale ships when I really get into the Pacific stuff. We always Use 1/600 scale aircraft for our 1/3000 scales naval battles so I guess 1/700 or 1/600 ships will work for 1/200 aircraft.
Interesting video… Although I like the models, and I can see why they have included stickers they are not particularly good and I will not be using them on my models

@commodorerob, I spike to warlord while at Salute and the stickers are a stop gap to get you playing out of the box , decals are planned and on the way

I’m painting up my Spitfires atm, another mate is doing the 109’s, but we may have convinced another mate to jump in by mentioning P51’s, it’s awesome that yo are doing boxes for the other factions.
