Those Doctor Who miniatures are probably the most disappointed I have ever been in this hobby. My two favourite things in life are miniature wargaming and Doctor Who (I even sport a seal of Rassilon tattoo). Ive been waiting years for decent ‘official’ sculpts and these seem like such a wasted opportunity, with the plethora of great sculpts out there, these are so very static and as Ive said elsewhere, they look like the cheap lead figures you would find in museum shops back in my childhood. the likenesses also leave a lot to be desired especially considering the unofficial… Read more »
Favourite Doctor is probably Jon Pertwee or Sylvester MCcoy and favourite monsters are posisibly the Sea Devils/Silurians

I’m with you Lloyd Daleks invasion earth with Peter Cushing was a fabulous Dr who movie. My favourite. I’m also a sylvester McCoy fan. Loved the Bertie basset monster, the hotel with the cannibal grannies etc. also liked ace the sidekick. I’m looking forward to see how the game will play. It needs to allow the Dr to be epic a bit like the Jedi in the old Star Wars table top game where the Jedi can do such epic things but point wise they are so expensive. Yay. It’s the weekend.
I have no use for dwarf buildings but as with nearly all those other products, those 4ground kits look amazing. though they do seem to be very intricate to build (ironic considering what they are meant to be conveying)
I also really like the steampunk buildings, but I cant help but see them as a blade runner style Cyber punk shanty town
John Carpenter directed Big Trouble and even wrote/sang the end credit theme song. Remember: the check is in the mail.

So Star Trek Panicis basically Castle Panic *in space*?
Jon Pertwee wore a black or purple velvet smoking jacket. One of the later Doctors wore the cricket outfit (Peter Davison for one). And John Hurt was not referred to as a Doctor, but as Captain Grumpy, the Warrior. Sylvester McCoy was the first Doctor who fought the hovering version of the Daleks and made a power bat for Ace. Hmm, wonder if they’ll make a stair climbing/floating base for the Daleks with his set. Ol’ Jack Burton always says….what the hell!
Wargaming the movie is a film I would like to show all those who’ve looked down their noses at me and my hobby ! This hobby that has so many aspects and means so much to so many in different ways has been the one constant in my life wherever I’ve been in the world . I’m really looking forward to seeing it because no matter how long you’ve been in the hobby there is always something new to learn or inspire you, and there isn’t much else in the modern world that can say the same !

I told a mate about the Wargaming Movie Kickstarter, and he backed it! I’m looking forward to this doco. Really looking forward to Dwarven buildings from 4 ground too
It has to be the 4th Doctor Tom Baker, genuinely alien. It is always the first one you remember from childhood though isn’t it? That was when the show was properly scary!
There have been plenty of scary episodes in the reboot too.
It may be a different kind of scare compared to when you were a kid.
We’ve had scary enemies (Weeping Angels, the Silence).

@lloyd You should take a look at Legion of Everblight. You’ve commented before that you liked the look of the faction. Legion of Everblight is a Hordes faction. Their warbeasts have a draconic theme and the troopers are Nyss (a type of elf) and Ogren (ogres). Most of the warlocks are female because only the female Nyss tend to have magic abilities. The warlocks all have a fraction of the ‘heart’ (it’s actually a crystal shard) of a dragon named Everblight. The dragon ‘spirit’ communicates and commands with them and the warlocks are all connected to each other telepathically through… Read more »
Very cool – I’m not too familiar with Cryx but it’s still good that he is getting a big upgrade to become a grown up Warcaster 🙂
3rd for retro who and 12th for new who
I had no idea that Michael Perry lost part of his right arm and had to learn to sculpt with his left hand. What an incredible story, I suppose this movie will be filled with iteresting views on the industry. Can’t wait to this movie.
Might it be time for BoW to do a Star Wars Armada week? That would be fun!
