Dextarius has now ridden out from Area Rex to join the fighting in their epic Fantasy/Historical game of blood and guts on the sands. See what you think of this rather wonderful looking sculpt...

Dextarius #1

So, let's learn about this mighty horse...

"A prize-winning draft and show animal, Dextarius was a gift to Ywain; a luxe reminder that the man himself was at best a display piece or burden in Imperial politics. While the massive creature lacks the agile hooves and speed preferred by legionary riders, his agile mind and sheer brawn make him a terror in the arena.

With a great weight of armor added to so much horse,  any charge is certain to be decisive."

Strangely this fellow can be picked up with or without his rider but I think that you'd have to get Ywain for his extra fighting potential. Plus, the model looks awesome.

Dextarius #2

The model is of a stunning quality, produced in resin with credit going to Patrick Masson for the sculpting and the illustration done by Yasmine Putri.

Dextarius (Rules)

As a Beast Dextarius can be included as part of your cohort on the tabletop or you could use him as a rampaging creature that is a threat to all on the sands. I think I'd be happy to have this horse on my side.

What do you think?
