The Superbly Sculpted Nurse Available For Asylum This Weekend

A rather stunning 54mm sculpt is going to be available this weekend on the 6th of June from the Asylum range. See what you think of the strange and twisted Nurse...
So what is her tale?
"Horror at the orphanage – suspicions surrounding Margaret Miller, 28-year-old nun arrested over the weekend at the Dorset County Orphanage..."
This amazing sculpt has been created from the artwork by Edouard Guiton while the sculpting was done by the hand of Alexandre Argorn Marks. Painting the studio piece above was the work of Martin Grandbarbe and Ben Komets.
She comes as a resin sculpt in 54mm scale as mentioned before. Made of up fourteen parts she looks like she could be quite the nice challenge for a painter looking to test their skills on something weird and wonderful.

Pretty creepy… the boobs don’t even bother me on this sculpt. This is one of those rare instances, for me at least, where they add to the weirdness, especially the Band-Aid pasties. This succeeds where Kingdom Death figures most often do not imo.
I must admit that I concur – in this particular instance, it just fits without appearing gratuitous. The fact that the model is far from sexualised, being very much an unambiguous horror sculpt, probably helps in this regard.
I just have to say….WOW! That is an awesome model.

I’ve been waiting for months for the first of these minis to hit retail, only to find it’s in 54mm. I love the mini, I just don’t game in that scale and won’t ever paint it if I’m not gaming with it Hopefully the sculpt is digital (which I think it will be) and we’ll see it in a smaller scale.
There’s a stunning array of talent in making this mini. It’s a testament to Aragorn Marks’ versatility that this is coming out about the same time as his last GW work, the Electro-Priests.

Legs look way to long in the upper part from hip to knee…but that actually makes it more creepy 🙂
