I would like to see a series for WW2 done on the invasion of Poland
The 4Ground Dwarven terrain looks very nice! Can’t wait to see more!
I’m really looking forward to seeing Miniature Wargaming the Movie. I’ve been reading some really old White Dwarf magazines lately, and it’s quite interesting to see how it all began.
Its a pity this movie couldnt have been made 20 years ago so all the greats like Featherstone, Grant etc could have been included
Good afternoon, apologies for the late replies:
@angelicdespot – The 1991-2 Balkans War would definitely be an interesting topic, and I’ve got the terrain and units for it (usually this is a limiting factor). I may honestly pass, though, given the backlash I unfortunately experienced during the article series last October on the 2014-15 Ukraine War. It’s a lot of work to pour into the development of a project just so self-appointed SJWs can throw righteous handfuls of their own . . . well, you get the idea.
@ghostbear – The Korean War’s a good idea. I have some Pershings and late-model Shermans, and of course T-34/85s. Maybe an F-86 Sabre and an MiG-15 just to give it that extra Korean touch! 😀
Somewhere I have a campaign for the Balkans that someone did for Cold war Commander some years ago
@oriskany – actually I was meaning the war in Yugoslavia during WWII rather than the more recent ones. You touched on it in one of your replies on this thread, and it sounded really interesting!
Most of the mentions of the war in the Balkans seem to me to be about the Soviet drive into Eastern Europe in the last year or so, focussing on Hungary, Romania, etc.
I’d like to see something about the interventions in the Balkans, the occupation and what else was happening there. Not from the perspecitve of to what extent in derailed Germany’s invasion of Russia plans, but to learn more about what actually happened in Yugoslavia.
@lblunchboxlb and @cheezfriend – Fall Weiss – the Invasion of Poland is a good idea. I’ve got a few Polish tanks in 1/100, I’d have to buy a few more. I’ve got the Battlegroup: Blitzkrieg book, and of course plenty of boards and pieces and Polish scenarios for Panzer Leader. Might only be a 3-part series, four at the most, but that’s definitely not a bad idea. 😀
Aaaugh.. I forgot to get in on the Miniature Wargames the Movie kickstarter before going to Gen con and I missed out on it! Hope I get a DVD copy in the future.
Have not watch the Weekender for a couple of week because of work. Hope I can still join in on the competition for the documentary ! 😀
