With both pairs of heroes now making it deeper into the dungeon it's time for them to meet up and continue their story in Dungeon Saga from Mantic Games.
With four heroes to play with Warren and Justin will be commanding two each while Rich continues his role as the evil Overlord.

This is going to be a great game. My biggest concern was replayability, so hopefully you guys will get a feel for that and be able to report back.
the semantics on the delay card sounds a bit ambiguous. Looking forward to reading the rules.
I can’t find the copy of the rules I had at the moment, but I was under the impression that the necro won if he went to draw a card and couldn’t. Not as soon as there are no more cards to draw. Regardless, fun game and you can really see zombies (especially armoured) being a nightmare to get past.
I agree. I think the heroes won. Delay just let him draw the last card, but until he tries to draw and cannot, the heroes still have time.
Unless they lose when the last card is drawn. Which honestly would be a really bad rule since you’d never be able to use that last card.
Did not play any dungeon delving games growing up. Tried but did not manage to get into Descent. Hopefully this is the one to get me. 🙂

When my DS KS stuff arrives, I think I might mix in some of my old warhammer quest stuff ( extra tiles, monsters, magnificent arched doorways). I might even try to modify the WQ rpg rules, equipment & spells!

I agree with shanonimous, the overlord should not have won, he win if he has to draw a card and there is none left. The text of the card just explain the rule. You don’t win if there is no card AFTER you use the card but if you have non when you play the card.
Seems that way to me too, also kinda makes more sense since that last card drawn would do nothing if you don’t have one more turn to go through. We’ll see once my KS haul gets here 😀
It really has gathered all the great dungeon crawl game elements together and added a few new twists. Can see this developing, with mantic background and range, in the way previous games never really did.
Great episode to a great weekend. I can’t wait to see how this ties into kings of war. This weekend has sold me on this game so perhaps I should take the plunge into both worlds
this does look amazing book idea is really good and will probably get it as the club does love a dungeon crawler
