Games Workshop has dropped loads of new reveals at NOVA this year for a range of their games, both old and new. The first thing we're going to jump into is more on Speed Freeks which has had a lot of people very excited.

Speed Freeks is going to be a high-orktane (sigh) game of racing and destruction set within the world of Warhammer 40,000. The set will bring together the Shokkjump Dragsta and the Kustom Boosta-blasta but also allow you to throw in a range of the new Buggies too for some extra carnage.

I can see this one being a lot of fun. Increasingly I'm getting the idea from a lot of gamers that they're stepping away from the core games of Age Of Sigmar and Warhammer 40,000 and instead embracing these smaller games on the sidelines as they offer them a chance to play within these worlds without a massive investment.

As you can see the vehicles are looking superb for this game and I imagine they are going to be exceptionally customisable as you crack our your Bitz Box to have a bash like a proper Mek Boy.

Hopefully, we get a chance to check this out in the studio. With all of the desert/badlands boards we're working on for the Bolt Action Boot Camp these Orks would have the proper sandy landscape to race over.

Sisters Of Battle Preview

Beyond the weapon previews that we saw from Warhammer Fest Europe, we now have some excellent previews of the heads for the upcoming Sisters Of Battle.

They are looking great and it's nice to see that as well as some old favourites (the helmets to the top right) we also have some bare heads in a variety of different expressions.

The Adepta Sororitas will be coming to Chapter Approved later this year as part of a Beta Codex which will give you a peek into how the Sisters Of Battle are shaping up.

Knightly Heroes

Sticking with the Imperium for a little longer we also got a note that we should be seeing House Griffith soon for those players who love their Imperial Knights.

This comes alongside a new set of upgrades for your Imperial Knight and a heroic individual in Sir Hekhtur too. I must admit I haven't really been following the development and growth of the Imperial Knights in Warhammer 40,000 but the new bits and bobs look very nice indeed!

To finish off for the world of Warhammer 40,000 we also have some Warhammer Quest news. Yes, the iconic dungeon crawling adventures of their Fantasy realms are coming to the grimdark future.

Warhammer Quest Black Fortress - Games Workshop

Warhammer Quest: Blackstone Fortress sounds like an awesome endeavour and hopefully the team take some of the lessons learned from Silver Tower and Shadows Over Hammerhal to create this game. I can already hear all of the rustles in the background as hundreds of hobbyists get ready to find out more.

Warhammer Underworlds: Nightvault

Moving away from Warhammer 40,000 we also got the full reveal of the new set for Warhammer Underworlds: Nightvault. The story continues to expand and now the Stormcast Eternals find themselves facing off against the Nighthaunt in the Mirrored City.

The new warbands in the set are looking awesome as the Briar Queen leads her warband of Chainwrasps...

This means that we're going to be seeing a whole new set of mechanics thrown into the mix for Underworlds. Spells add another layer of tactical decision making to the mix for Shadespire which will no doubt shake up the tournament scene for the game.

I really like the design of the models for this new Warhammer Underworlds set and I might end up having to buy the Core Box like I did the last time. I didn't play the game too much but it was a lot of fun when I did get a chance, even without a lot of deckbuilding and the like.

We also have some quirky new Warbands making their way to Warhammer Underworlds. The Troggoth from earlier in the week meets a Flying Squig!

I could see this being a lot of people's favourite warband if they get it right. I am looking forward to seeing where the Grots/Spiderlings come in!

Demons Rise

As well as the news from Warhammer Underworlds we also have a teaser for what's next in Age Of Sigmar. Slaanesh returns?

We shall have to wait and see but it looks like Chaos is on the rise, especially concerning the news about Beastmen at the start of the week.

Returning To Middle-earth

The new Starter Set for the Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game lands this weekend but Games Workshop was keen to share more news including a look at a fantastic new model showing Gandalf & Pippin on horseback showing off one of the pivotal moments from the films.

This new model arrives alongside news that we will be getting a set of Campaign Books for the game starting with Gondor At War.

Gondor At War - Games Workshop

What's included in this book?

"Gondor At War covers the events of the War of the Ring as it sweeps across Gondor, from the ambush at Ithilien and the fall of Osgiliath to the Battle of Pelennor Fields and the march on the Black Gate of Mordor itself. You’ll find tactical primers, loads of scenarios and rewards for theming your army to the forces that fought in this time of war – like King Théoden’s final epic charge."

The future is bright for Middle-earth it seems!
