Gale Force Nine announced this week that they were bringing a brand new game to the tabletop. Wise Guys drops you in the period of the roaring '20s and has you playing as Gangsters looking to take control of Prohibition-Era Chicago.

Wise Guys - Gale Force Nine

Wise Guys // Gale Force Nine

Drawing together all of the things that come to mind when you think "Gangsters", Wise Guys has you playing as those controlling rival gangs, each looking to carve out an empire throughout Chicago's streets. You'll wheel, deal, talk and fight to control locations where you buy and sell booze. You'll also help politicians get elected that serve your agenda and then use them to double-cross rival gangs you previously allied with.

Wise Guys Set-Up // Gale Force Nine

This seems like a solid game for those who enjoy twisting the knife and stabbing their "friends" in the back at the opportune moment. Cash is the victory condition here as well and the gang who comes out of the game with the most money is the winner!

Gale Force Nine has done a solid job with their board games in the past, especially their licensed games. Their games are always mechanically sound and we've had great fun in the past with Spartacus, Sons Of Anarchy and their Firefly games.

If you're eager to find out more about the game then there is a full Rulebook available to download. Snap that up now and give it a read if Wise Guys has intrigued you. It seems drenched in theme and the artwork looks great too.

Are you going to be snapping up Wise Guys?
