You receive an invitation from the mysterious man known as “The Host” to take part in a contest at the infamous “Grind House.” The letter promises you the opportunity to play a game to win a reward greater than you could possibly imagine, 10 Million Dollars - with the only requirement to stay alive for 12 hours in the house.

Grind House is an epic narrative horror tabletop game for 2-6 players with a runtime of 20-30 minutes. The objective: explore as much of the house as possible while hopefully staying alive and losing as few limbs as possible. However, players who die need not fear the afterlife - they can still wander the house as an ethereal spirit, spooking their fellow explorers along the way.

Further to surviving the house, each character has their own personal goal. For example, the Doctor may wish to keep everyone alive, while the Psychopath may have other ideas. After exploring five random rooms, players tally up their score to see who is the winner.

At the beginning of the game, each player is dealt a random persona card, character board, and one use item. The first player then draws two 'Room' cards and selects one, reading out the text on the back of the card. This text will be a challenge to the players, pitting them against each other for survival.

Many of the rooms will cause players to come to harm, either through volunteering or through group vote. However, explore all five rooms and you will have successfully survived Grind House!

I can see Grind House appealing to a lot of tabletop horror fans. The Kickstarter is live until 2nd December, so brave souls (who feel that, personally, two arms is probably too many) can back the project here.
