Knives Of The Crones Strike Warhammer Underworlds Soon
April 22, 2025 by brennon
The Daughters of Khaine are going to be getting a new Warhammer Underworlds warband soon from Games Workshop for use in your Mortal Realms skirmishes. The Knives of the Crone are on the horizon, ready to strike and deliver a killing blow for Morai-Heg.
Kaerna Vix - Knives of the Crone // Warhammer Underworlds
Followers of Morai-Heg, the Aelven goddess of prophecy, these killers are dispatched on secret business throughout the Mortal Realms. Visions have come to her true followers and the likes of Krethusa the Croneseer, which hasn't sat well with other followers of Morathi.
The new set is led by the seer Kaerna Vix, who can read the viscera of slain foes to see the future. Backing her up is Krieta with her wings who is eager to kill anyone who dares threaten Kaerna.

Finishing off the set, you also have Tazari & Azphel, who have worked out different ways of laying down the pain and finishing off their foes. Maybe you could go for a spear to the heart or a bolt right through the back of your skull.
Tazari & Azphel - Knives of the Crone // Warhammer Underworlds
This set introduces a couple of different ways for you to approach killing your foes. You could go with the long-range option that comes with the crossbow or get up close and personal with some knives.
This Mastery warband uses unique rules which set them apart from your classic Strike-style warbands. They make use of Rituals of Prophecy, where you consult a table and if the symbols match, you can get a boost!

There will also be a new Rivals Deck that will come out alongside the warband. Realmstone Raiders allows you to manipulate your deck via the power of Emberstone. The Raid mechanic also means that you can reveal the top card of your deck and then either decide to push it to the bottom or keep it ready.
Are you going to be picking up the Knives of the Crone?

On stairs or by rock, the crones cometh!
I would have perhaps been more interested if GW had REALLY done Crones (EVIL looking old ladies rather than generic “Princess Leya metal bikini wearing babes”). I love it when GW do “character” sculpts (a bit like the way people call old actors a character actor).
