Forgeborne Games find themselves on Kickstarter with their brand new Sci-Fi board game adventure, Terminus Frontier. This one to four player cooperative board game will plunge you into tactical squad combat and space exploration in a brand-new universe.

After five years in development, Terminus Frontier offers up a campaign-style space adventure which flows between story-based missions across multiple sessions. Each session plays out over two to three hours where you'll be travelling between new planets, collecting bounties from wanted fugitives and forging alliances with various factions. Which way will you go?

What Is Terminus Frontier? // Forgeborne Games

Your squad will grow throughout the campaign where you bring renegades, outlandish aliens and elusive agents into the fold to join your starship crew. All of this sits against the backdrop of having to make harrowing decisions which will change your storyline in different ways whilst also facing down treacherous betrayals! Sounds like the makings of a bit of a Sci-Fi epic.

Each game plays out with you taking on the role of a Drift Hunter, a soldier of fortune and bounty hunter. Each Drift Hunter comes with their own unique abilities and different ways for you to "build" their class, giving you ways to cater a particular character to your playstyle of choice.

At the beginning of a round, you'll choose your squad formation and then flip over an enemy AI card to see when they will act. You'll then spend your action points tactically to play skill cards and unlock powerful combos. Weapons have various fire modes and there is a special ammo deck designed for the game that allows you to unleash hell or be more selective with your shots. You will have to reload though so make sure you choose wisely.

Everything you do will end up charging your ultimate ability which then allows you to unleash a powerful attack on your foes. Get better and better throughout different scenarios by acquiring new weapons, armour and abilities and dive back into the fray until you've become a legend amongst the Drift Hunters.

The game isn't just tied to the tactical battle map. You can also dive into exploration between missions where you traverse the sector as part of a sandbox experience. Who knows what you'll find and whether or not you'll be able to resolve conflicts with your words or if you'll have to resort to a storm of bullets?

The core box comes with everything that you need to get started and there are a mixture of different pledge options for you to choose from which allows you to go all-in.

More unlocks are available as part of the campaign including an expansion which gives you the option for adding a fifth player into the mix. Add-ons include terrain, more miniatures, extra gubbins, new characters and more. There is plenty to come from Forgeborne who have put their all into this project.
