There's a lot of buzz around this Kickstarter (see what I did there?). Mighty Boards have released their latest expansion to Petrichor, and it's sweet.

Petrichor is a beautiful area influence game in which you act as a cloud providing life-giving water to the land. In it, players move clouds, create rain, and help the Harvest to thrive through a careful balance of time and resource control.

The first expansion to Petrichor, Flowers, increased the player count to five and made the game more asymmetrical. This latest expansion, Honeybee, brings new actions to the base game, a new resource (honey), four new tiles and, of course, a honeybee!

Pollinate your apple trees, your blueberry bushes, or your watermelon, collect more honey than your opponents, and use the bee to sneak into tiles where nobody expected you to get to! The Honeybee expansion is for 1-4 players (including full solo support), and if combined with the Flowers expansion it also supports 5 player mode.

Petrichor has been hugely popular since it's release earlier this year. It is both beautifully designed and aesthetically satisfying to play. Petrichor: Honeybee adds a new mechanic to the game, and it will be interesting to see how that minimalist design is affected.

The Kickstarter also has the option to purchase the base game and the Flowers expansion, for those who are new to Petrichor. Interested insects can buzz their way across to their Kickstarter page here.

Quiz Time: What does the word Petrichor describe? Answers below!
