RedImp, the minds behind Inquisitor, have released a teaser video for their new game, Pangea.

Pangea is a strategic, asymmetric, area-control board game set at the time of the Great Permian Extinction. During the game, players must manage a living species, attempting to prepare it for the imminent catastrophic world shift by adapting and evolving to the environment.

However, adaption is not merely enough to prevent extinction, and species will battle against each other to survive an increasingly unstable environment.

There's no official release date for Pangea yet, but the designer has said it will be being funded through Kickstarter. You can check out the teaser trailer for more information below:

What species will you play as?

"Survive an increasingly unstable environment!"
