Steamforged Games has announced that they are going to be returning to the realm of Monster Hunter and the hit video game with a new board game! Monster Hunter World - Iceborne: The Board Game is coming to Kickstarter next month.

Following on from the success of Monster Hunter World: The Board Game which hit Kickstarter in 2021, Iceborne is going to be a new way for you to dive into this Fantasy RPG world by Capcom. Designed for one-to-four players and following the traditional Monster Hunter format, players will chase down massive monsters across the tabletop and look to bring them down using strategic, card-driven combat.

You will then be able to take the prizes from your kills and turn them into better arms and armour so you can go after deadlier prey on the tabletop. Rather than forests and wastelands, this time your hunters will be exploring a frozen tundra where you might end up battling against more than just the focus of your hunt.

Monster Hunter World Iceborne: The Board Game is also going to be a completely standalone product so you don't need to have the original game in order to enjoy Iceborne. It should be noted that if you are interested in the older Monster Hunter World game, it is coming to retail later this year.
