Ares Games and Gremlin Project the creative minds behind Galaxy Defenders, have given us a date for the launch of their Kickstarter campaign for the dungeon adventure game, Sword & Sorcery.

There campaign kicks off October 15 and will run through November 12. We first had a talk about it during our Gen Con coverage this year.

Sword & Sorcery is a cooperative boardgame for one to five players who play as heroes brought back to life and as you adventure you gain experience and skills for your hero.  The is an AI that the players use to control the evil forces and reportedly allows for unique battles.

Also of note, is the fact that when an hero dies it is not the end of the game for that player, the hero becomes a ghost soul and can harass the enemies and you can bring your hero back to the land of the living by spend soul points at a god's altar as an offering and have them restore your life.

It is obvious that dungeon crawlers and anything to do with dungeons is making a resurgence and I could not be any happier to see it happen. We will be watching this one to see how it does and what is revealed at the Kickstarter.

Do you think there is room for another dungeon adventure game?
