Vampire Hunters Come to Venice in Carnevale’s Stretch Goals

October 6, 2014 by dracs

Carnevale has less than a week left on Kickstarter, but there is still plenty of time to work towards these next two stretch goals.

The first stretch goals brings some special characters who will be available for all the factions to field, Vampire Hunters and a Foreign Spy.

Vampire Hunters and Foreign Spy

You couldn't have Dracula turn up without some pre-cursors to Van Helsing and Harker ready to come after him. This dynamic duo of vampire hunters will definitely be an interesting, if somewhat specialised, addition to the game, which should in themselves provide the basis for new story scenarios.

The Foreign Spy is similar in that her presence also opens up fresh narrative objectives. She definitely looks to be something of a sharp shooter and for my own part, I will be thinking of her as ancestor of James Bond whenever she appears.

After those two we find new miniatures become available for the Strigoi and the Vatican Forces.

Newborn Strigoi and Sword of Saint Michael

The Newborn Strigoi was one of the first concept sketches that we saw back in the early days of the Strigoi faction. Clutching the severed head of a victim and with blood on his face, this is a truly lost and bestial being who engenders both pity and disgust.

The Vatican Forces gain the Bearer of the Sword of Michael, a knight carrying the flaming sword of the arch-angel himself. Or is it? After all, nothing is quite what it seems in Carnevale and this concept makes this chap look both smug and cruel.

All of these are really interesting models, and it would be great to see them made a reality. If you want them to appear, be sure to head over to the Kickstarter and pledge your support.
