Salute is over and we're diving back into the hobby forums to see what you've been working on. We reckon a lot of you are going to have some awesome projects to start working on. However, we're back in the Hobby & Painting Forum and looking to get inspired once more.

We have some amazing projects to take a peek at today so get involved, say well done and don't forget to share your own work too.

Ogre Shaman by aurorainbag

First up we're looking at the work from a forum regular, arurorainbag. She has been expanding her talent base and painting some brilliant models lately. This shows here when you get a look at this Ogre Shaman from Massive Darkness.

Ogre Shaman #1 by aurorainbag

The model has been painted with plenty of care and attention were given to making that cartoony side of it pop in the overall scheme. Some great colours were chosen here and the highlight/shading work across the model has really made it come to life. You could certainly see this standing in pride of place amongst a collection.

Ogre Shaman #2 by aurorainbag

This is one of the things we love to see. We've been following aurorainbag's work for a long time on the website and it has been brilliant seeing her go from strength to strength and painting some amazing pieces like this. Through learning and sharing together we can all improve our painting and feel happy with the eventual results.

Star Wars: Legion Display by spamelot

Next, we move on to some Star Wars: Legion. It's somewhat impossible to ignore it at the moment, especially when you see wonderful dioramas and display pieces like this one from spamelot.

Star Wars Legion Diorama #1 - by spamelot

Considering how much Warren wants to do some interior fighting with Star Wars: Legion, it's not surprising to see that others have felt the same way. The display itself looks awesome but the painting on the Stormtroopers and vehicles here just popped out for us. The additional character given to the models really makes you feel like you're fighting alongside the 501st.

Star Wars Legion Diorama #2 by spamelot

I reckon if you asked nicely you could find out from spamelot how this all came together and what techniques were brought forward here. You have to tip your helmet to his painting of Darth Vader there too, looking as menacing as ever.

Conquest Steel Legion by twodeesick

Last but not least we turn our attention to a small part of a larger project. Here we have twodeesick and his Steel Legion soldiers from Para Bellum's Conquest. We've been talking a lot about this game over the past few months and twodeesick is actually putting together a force which will be used to demo the game.

Conquest Steel Legion #1 by twodeesick

The painting on these models is clean and crisp with plenty of detail work done to make them pop that little bit. The Steel Legion are some of the most deadly fighting men in the world of Conquest and you get that feeling from these fighters here with the dark steel and bronze that you see on their armour.

Some nice spot colours have been used to raise things away from the metallics as well. The touches of light blue and yellow for the soldiers really do help and add a layer of depth to the models, even as regular troops on the tabletop.
