More Community Spotlight goodness from the Hobby & Painting Forum and beyond this week as we pick out a particular project that is something a little different.

Leading the way, however, we have something rather fine indeed!

Chaos Maiden by nakatan

Tweaking things a little nakatan picked up this fantastic model from Nutsplanet and used her to help create another amazing tip of the hat to the Old World of Warhammer Fantasy. Here we have the Chaos Maiden.

Chaos Maiden #1 by nakatan

The model has gone through some extensive tweaking here and there to turn her from a Viking Shieldmaiden (who might be quite familiar) into a Chaos Warrior from the wastes come to turn some Empire soldiers into paste.

Chaos Maiden #2 by nakatan

One of the big things was adding the big star onto the shield as well as those cruel looking barbs that are sticking from the rim. While she has avoided all manner of mutations from following the Dark Gods she sure looks like she'd be a dangerous foe to face in the front lines.

You can see more of his work and close ups of the model over on his Patreon Page.

Alfrid Lickspittle by shadowandflame

Working on one of the upcoming miniatures from the new, and indeed growing, The Hobbit range by Forge World shadowandflame showed off their version of Alfrid Lickspittle.

Alfrid Lickspittle

Using colours that are as in keeping with the look from the films as possible he's gone about bringing the character to life. The glint of gold being smuggled away from inside the dress adds a little brightness to the piece but overall I think this a good showing off just what you can do with drab tones.

I particularly like the stubble painted onto the face as well as the effort that's gone into the face overall. Picking out the lines of the face like that and the eyes must have been hard!

We'd love to see shadowandflame showing off more of their work over on the forums. For now, you can check out their own website HERE.

Kingdom Death: Monster Prologue by einar

Last but not least we have something different for you. There's no painting involved here but instead a bit of voice over work. Einar put together this neat video as a prologue to a game of Kingdom Death. It certainly sets the tone...

We love Kingdom Death: Monster so it was awesome to see this pop-up. Hopefully, as einar follows along with our campaign or plays his own games we'll get to hear more voice over work like this telling the story in an almost motion comic style.

Make sure to continue sharing your work in the Hobby & Painting Forum and we'll pick out our favourites every week to give them a shout out here.

As always you continue to motivate us and make us try new things so keep at it folks!

What have you been working on this week?
