Demigod Games has released an updated blog on the status of their miniatures and game, Conquest of the Gods.

In this update they give a look into the some recently cast resin miniatures and the progression of their design process.

The casts shown are the: "Greatest of 50" with a flexible resin whip, Horus, Ureaeus the giant serpent, the Egyptian starter set, Hachiman  a Japanese Oni and my favorite at the moment, Egyptian Hem Netjer unit.

These are some beautifully designed and detailed miniatures and I am anxiously waiting for the final product. They also previewed some artwork for the rulebook, one of  the Vikings fighting in a village.

If you are not familiar with the game Conquest of the Gods, it is a melding of historical with mythology, you will command one of the armies that has warriors based on historical units along with the gods or other mythological creatures unique to that race to do combat on the battlefield.

This project did go to Kickstarter last year (2014) but unfortunately did not meet its funding goal.  So, instead of pulling stakes the creators decided to do this the old fashioned way and develop and release it themselves, so the miniatures and game will be released in waves.

It is a major undertaking, but from the work I have been watching it will truly be a high quality game and I cannot wait to review the rules.

Can you face the gods?
