The Tin Soldiers of Antwerp have shown off their Queen Maud model which will be available to the first 1500 paying attendees at Crisis 2016 on November 5th.

Queen Maud #1

Queen Maud used to be called Matilde of Flanders and was married to a certain William The Bastard. However after his conquest of England during 1066 she joined him to rule over the country as his Queen.

While she might not really fit into the kind of Dark Age narratives you have in mind for the battlefield I think she'd be a great miniature to paint up as you work on her dress and all the shading that's involved in making sure it doesn't look flat!

Queen Maud #2

Maybe you could even work up an interesting diorama with her and William in England shortly after the invasion? Either way its a neat miniature you're never going to find anywhere else other than Crisis in Antwerp.

Will you be going to the event?
