Hawk Wargames Reveal The Dropfleet Commander Cover Art

Hawk Wargames have now released the cover art for their Dropfleet Commander Two Player Starter Set. This has been done by the talented hand of Patrice Rameau who I have had the pleasure of meeting and he's a fantastic fellow...
The artwork shows the UCM and the Scourge meeting in battle around the surface of a planet while down below the fight continues on the ground. It all looks superbly engaging and I can't wait to see more on how it plays. Keep an eye out for The Weekender where we talked with Simon from Hawk on Saturday.
As well as the cover art they talked about the other race, the Post-Human Republic (PHR). This faction will be a little slower than the UCM in battle but will have a devastating array of weapons on the flanks of their ships. The key to PHR play will be positioning and making the most of their movement to get into devastating traps.

It might be my aging eyes but it just looks like colours to me.
Probably a bit compact on a screen but I think it’ll really come to life on the full size box.

I really am starting to get tempted by Hawks offerings. I love the idea of tying in games of DZC & DFC.
I’m looking forward to seeing the Shaltari fleet.
I think the Shaltari will be especially well rendered in a Zero-G environment.
That is beautiful, I wish I had an artist that could do art on par with that for my stuff. Their inhouse artist is one of the best i’ve seen I think.
Reminds me of Babylon 5 – Scourge = Shadows, PHR = Earth Alliance. I like what I see and prefer hard plastic over all other materials so i hope all 4 factions get funded.

Love this. It’s reminiscent of the Dropzone Commander cover but yet looks a whole lot more epic!
