Dystopian Wars Shakes At the Arrival of Armoured Clash

Dystopian Wars, that great game of Victorian sci-fi warfare is expanding the battles taking place on land with their new rule set Armoured Clash!
Now Dystopian Wars has always been famous for the ways in which the game can take place on either land, sea or in the air, but Armoured Clash seeks to expand the mechanized combat going on upon terra firma. These new rules will help you to field mighty forces of mega-tanks and other steampunk style war machines.
"Our new set of fast-paced game rules take the world of Dystopian Wars to a whole new level of ground warfare and Commanders are called upon to employ a new military doctrine to win their games. Players will need to use decisive tactics as they command Brigades (or even Divisions!) or armour, looking to be victorious in some of the most pivotal land battles the Dystopian Wars world has ever seen."

This is one of the best news stories of the month. I love Dystopian Wars but always found the land units and concept a little… meh…
Now I have a big sexy EPIC-esque rules set to play with and the funky three colour dice system from Dystopian Legions to boot!
I may buy a whole bunch of French land units tonight I am *that* excited at the stuff from Spartan Games at the moment!
We just recently started Dystopian Wars at our store and its been taking off like crazy. Love this new expansion already and I’ve barely had time to read it. lol
I have always found the naval stuff the best, be interesting to see how this measures up.

Attention Deficit Disorder. In this case, inability to focus on existing games and releasing ton of new systems in like, half a year’s time with minimal support for them compared to DW.
I suspect its a case of feeding the louder and greater spending beast. Anything Dystopian seems to be a great seller for Spartan. Uncharted Seas not so much (30% sale and free rulebook is the latest promo). Firestorm is somewhere between the two.
As a free downloadable rules set that lets you use all your existing land units or (as its the least popular arm of the three armed forces in Dystopian Wars) buy a bunch of land units from the existing range thereby providing a return of investment for Spartan. Armoured Clash is a very smart move IMHO.
I like the models and the price that goes with them.
