The French Sail into Dystopian Wars

Spartan Games have released some images for the Republique of France forces which will be joining the battles of Dystopian Wars on April 25th.
First let's take a look at the land crew.
Their mobile airfield carries on Spartan Games' tradition of characterising countries land forces by employing elements of their famous land marks, with the inclusion of the base of the Eiffel Tower providing the mobile behemoth with an elegant yet surprisingly serviceable appearance.
The French have also taken to the skies with their new aerial forces.
I really like the look of the scout flyers, it gives the French force a nice unique looking unit and fits well with the general aesthetic of the army.
Then of course we have the French naval forces, ready to sail out and show the English Trafalgar was a fluke.
Just look at the Charlemagne Class Dreadnought. Just look at it. Enough said.
And to cap it off here's a look at the artwork for Republique of France booklet.
All in all the Republique of France is shaping up well and is definitely giving my Brit force something to worry about.

I seen some up close and they are just as lovely as you would think from the renders. Spartan games is on fire!
Indeed it is on fire! Really nice looking ships, although I’m still waiting to see the rest of the second wave before choosing a second fleet.
Their new forum is really nice too, and reminded me in my “NEW EMPIRE MODELS” moment why I like Spartan: for the same cost as a new Warhammer Army Book I can pretty much get a whole french fleet!
I like the fact that the flyers seem to have been designed with a lack of technology compared to other factions in mind – you see interesting dual hulls and proportionally they are longer than they are high with swept wings so they should be elegant, but the angular parts that are riveted together rather than cast like on the curved naval ships take away from that. Yes, great looking force! I was hoping to see the Maginot line and perhaps there is a bit of that in the Charlemage, which is mighty impressive!
I’m assembling my french naval fleet atm, and I can safely say I’ll have most of the above ordered for release day. That dreadnoughts just a floating artillery company…
The French forces look quite nice, with the prizes for awesomeness obviously going to the Dread and the MAF. Didn’t notice that the forum was back, it’s been down SOOO long. Heading over there right now…
