Ice Maiden Dreadnought Super-Carrier // Dystopian Wars

The Ice Maiden is an impressive ship in its own right. It comes armed to the teeth, is built into an actual iceberg and allows you to launch basically an entire army off its top deck. It is an utterly towering and terrifying piece of kit that is going to stun your opponents into submission when they see it hoving into view.

This ship gets even more impressive when you tag it onto the Ice Maiden Battlefleet Set which gives you support for this floating fortress.

If you've been tempted by The Imperium but haven't yet taken the plunge when it comes to Dystopian Wars then I would recommend giving this a shot. It gives you the core of an Imperium fleet plus the added majesty of that Ice Maiden miniature. It's basically a piece of terrain itself!

Talking of terrain, the folks at Warcradle have also been working on some nice pieces that you can use to adorn your tabletop. No need to use old wargaming hills as islands anymore.

This Islands & Archipelagos set gives you some good options for those looking to set up objectives on the tabletop. Fight for control of a strategically place airfield or gun emplacement. This is a resin kit that allows you to build some neat focal points for your games and some hazards too. Even the best captain has run aground on a sandbank once in their life. It just might be even more dangerous when the enemy is aiming terrifying guns at you.

New Battlefleets & Frontline Squadrons

As well as the big ol' Ice Maiden and that terrain, we also got two new sets for you to pre-order as well. The first introduces the magnificent and resplendent Britannia Battlefleet into the mix.

Britannia Battlefleet Set // Dystopian Wars

Get fancy and play games with a starter fleet meant to get you going as The Crown in the world of Dystopian Wars. This set comes with a Britannia Battleship, two Albion Cruisers (which can also be built as Lancelot, Picton, Bedivere or Sabre variants), and four Caliburn Frigates.

I think they look suitably British and ostentatious. You get the sense that if they were moored in the Thames then you'd just think they were the tops of buildings on the skyline. It would be neat to see how people are aiming to paint these!

Last but not least, we have the Union Frontline Squadrons which allows you to build on your existing force.

Get stuck in and build up your reinforcements and reserves with two Yorktown Class Cruisers (can also be built as Intrepids, Lexingtons and Reliants) alongside four Farragut Class Frigates and two Akron Observation Rotors.

More heavy firepower that is again themed and designed around the Union of this "period". I love the steamboat design which conjures images of these powering up wide rivers and canals as well as battling on the open seas.
