Hugo's Heroes - Fighting Trangen 1808

Hugo’s Heroes put together a good wintery-themed battlefield where the Swedish are clashing with Norwegians. There are plenty of interesting troops including Grenadiers, Jagers, and even some specialist ski troops! This was nice to see as it was another alternative tabletop with a different look from some of the others out there this weekend.

Bushido Going From Strength To Strength

It was great to see that Bushido continued to have such a good presence on the floor this year at Salute. GCT Studios do some amazing work with Bushido and it was nice to see that as well as being sold here, it was also being demo’d and people were having a good time playing the game and learning the mechanics of this 35mm Far Eastern-inspired wargame.

Gravesend Gamers Guild - Gaslands With A Neon Twist

Justin spotted this one whilst wandering about. This is Gaslands with a bit of a Neon Twist, played out by Gravesend Gamers Guild who have sent up a brilliant tabletop for you to race around on. Throughout the game and the day, sponsors will be pushing new tactics, transforming each contest into a spectacle of speed and destruction on these neon streets. It’s pretty awesome to see Gaslands with another look to it!

Crow Industries - Mechs, DUNE, Starship Troopers & More

Crow Industries have some really interesting miniatures they are showing off from their Patreon. They are doing a lot of fan versions of hit Sci-Fi miniatures that you might want to consider depending on what sort of games your playing at the moment. They have lovely miniatures for Starship Troopers, Dune and more. Check out their Patreon for a deeper dive into the range.

Too Fat Lardies Back With Operation Charnwood For What A Tanker!

Too Fat Lardies are back with their absolutely stunning tabletop covering Operation Charnwood during World War II and the What A Tanker! rules. This is going to be an 8 player game run by Joe Bilton as you fight for control of Caen in 1944.

As well as running What A Tanker, the folks from Too Fat Lardies WILL be demoing the new version of Chain Of Command so you’ll have to keep an eye out for more on that.

Zoontalis - Battle Royale With Anthropomorphic Animals?

Justin was lured in by this ace looking game from the folks at Dice Heads who we think have been at the show before. They have been showing off their now extensive range of miniatures for Zoontalis which is a battle royale miniatures game making use of rather awesome miniatures.

If you’d like to find out more about Zoontalis and you like the look of the miniatures you’re seeing here, you can check them out on their website HERE.

Salute always works out pretty expensive for me to attend so I’m looking forward to seeing your coverage gents. Any previews of Empress miniatures Arnhem German Kickstarter which is due out at the end of April would be great, or any new stuff from Offensive miniatures please.

brucelea

Also, don’t forget to wind up if your bump into him 😈😳😂😂😂

avernos

He said it was the bad dice

brucelea

🤣

Mission accomplished, see you at UKGE🙃

grantinvanman

It’s a ~nine hour flight direct from Calgary to London, overnight.

One day I’ll make it.

I posted this on the youtube as well

I sadly wont be able to go to Salute this year due to a recent accident leaving me less than mobile. I was hoping to support a game Heroes Super Combat – STAND: GL02 written by one of our local hobby club members. It is their first game and first time at Salute it would be amazing if you could find the time to pop by and take a look at the boards they have done for me !!. I will be following along from my bed watching the blog tomorrow. !!

Also check out the Kitbash Corner on stand GJ15 feature people from the local club who do some crazy kitbashing with stones and tree bits. No seriously it is pretty insane how good they are.

avernos

They are already on ze list

sundancer

If they are there: please go up to CGL and give them a stern talking to. 8)

pagan8th

CGL were going to attend, but there was a problem with shipping and may be delayed…

limburger

they might have forgotten to book hotels for all of their crew and have to ship one in extra to balance things out …

dafthelmet85

I’m missing this year helping out with ROK Minis. I hope everyone attending and showing has a good day!

jeffersonpowers

I’m always interested in what Crooked Dice are doing. Plus any great looking game tables…

Absoluteltly love salute as a show been many times but a decline in health has meant things like this took a back shelf. so you can imagine my delight having the walk thru guys whilst still being sat at home in my PJ’s maxed out on meds feeling pretty shitty. many thanks guys a delightfull couple of hours remotely exploring and recharging me hobby mojo.

Even Trouble my jack russell has been watching you avidly Ben its that furry face, hes a fan of both you and jerry normally on the weekender and XLBS its gotta be the beards lol

ive seen some comments regeard the cost of salute, i normally booked a year in advance get the hotel very cheap, get a few passengers from the local club to help with transport costs, a great way to meet new people and new peotential friends and whilst i absorbed the hobby expenditure the only thing i found excessive was the parking fees minimaaised with a club in from all passengers. The show lads always have looked after me as a disabled attendee and its always been a rewarding trip regardless of sleeping for a week when i got home..

demonsub

Thanks for the great coverage. I’d love to go to Salute some day but this is the next best thing.
