Back in May we covered the Release of Fantasy Flight Games' new card game Rune Age. Recently Fantasy Flight have put up a new video to help you find out exactly what Rune Age is all about and to help you get to grips with the mechanics of gameplay, so we decided to dig this article out to let you guys take another look at this great piece of work from Fantasy Flight. Enjoy.

Fantasy Flight are returning to the world of Terrinoth with their upcoming card game Rune Age!

Rune Age is to be Fantasy Flight's first entry into the deck-building card game genre. Here's what they're saying about this system.

Gameplay in Rune Age centers around players working to develop their individual deck of cards. At the beginning of the game, each player begins with a small assortment of cards in their deck, drawing five cards each turn to carry out their actions. Each player’s deck represents their faction’s military strength and capabilities. These decks will be formed with their faction-specific Unit cards and a central collection of Neutral Unit cards, Tactics cards, and Gold cards.

I've never been particularly interested in card games. However, I am really tempted to give this a try when it comes out. Fantasy Flight are very good at creating rule systems which are simple enough to pick up, yet with enough complexity to allow you to develop your strategies.

On top of this is the art work, yet another aspect to tempt my money from my wallet.

All in all I can't wait to see how this turns out and I really hope to get my hands on it when it comes out. What do you guys think of this? Is it showing promise? Let us know your thoughts.
