The gods of Shintoism are appearing in Kaha Miniatures' world of Oroko, the first of which has just shown up as a concept sketch. Check out the nasally impressive Tengu.

Tengu

The Tengu are among the strangest looking beings in Japanese folklore, distinguished by their bird-like features and incredibly long nose. In this concept it seems that Kaha have downplayed the avian characteristics a bit in favour of making him a strange samurai style figure.

The deities, or kami, of real world Shintoism are incredibly varied, so Kaha's statement that they will be appearing in Oroko is definitely exciting news. Kaha have done some superb work in the past with their sculpts so I am interested to see what their take on these figures is like.

What approach do you think Kaha should take with this new set of Oroko minis?

"Kaha have downplayed the avian characteristics a bit in favour of making him a strange samurai style figure."
